Pima Animal Care Center offers offers for the adoption of pets to make room for the shelter

The Pima Animal Care Center is looking to pair furry friends with loving humans during a month of “Clear the Shelters” events.

The PACC is offering an adoption promotion every week until September 19 to free up space at the shelter.

“We are very happy that this adoption event is taking place at PACC! Said Monica Dangler, director of animal services. “This event could not have come at a better time, the refuge being so full. ”

The Pima shelter is filled to the brim with new dogs due to the monsoon and the specific needs of large dogs. The shelter hopes this month of events will inspire adopters and foster families to free up space for pets that cannot be adopted right away.

This week, PACC is offering an adoption fee of $ 0 for all animals in the shelter. Additional promotions throughout the month will be announced via social media every Monday.

The refuge is organizing four events this month in its multipurpose room:

  • Foster Fair August 29, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Long Stay Salon, Sept. 4 and 5, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Foster Fair September 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The main event will be a “party at PACC” on September 19th. Freebies, prizes and food trucks are available for attendees.

The PACC is located at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, open Monday through Friday, noon to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
