  • Dr. Place and the entire AgNext team will continue to collaborate with Elanco by supporting research to advance Elanco’s ongoing sustainability efforts through tools such as UpLook™ and advancing products that reduce shows such as Bovaer.® and Experior™.

GREENFIELD, Indiana and Fort Collins, CO (August 2, 2022) – Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (ELAN: NYSE) and Colorado State University’s AgNext announced a strategic alliance as part of an ongoing commitment to pioneering sustainability solutions for animal agriculture, transforming the next frontier of opportunities in livestock sustainability.

As part of the strategic alliance, Elanco’s Director of Sustainability, Dr. Sara Place, will join the AgNext team and transition into her new role as Associate Professor of Feedlot Systems. Colorado State’s AgNext program is a one-of-a-kind research collaboration that focuses specifically on sustainability in animal agriculture, working with members across the value chain to develop innovative solutions and solutions that help move the industry towards a more sustainable future. The program aims to create a world-class center of excellence, identifying and developing innovation that promotes animal and ecosystem health to promote profitable industries that support vibrant communities.

As an Associate Professor of Feedlot Systems, Ms. Place will continue to build on the work she has done with Elanco, seeking to advance science and solutions around sustainable opportunities in feedlot systems. fattening, while training the next generation of talent.
