Critical Capacity Long Beach Animal Care Services

The Long Beach Animal Care Services location has more than 200 animals in the shelter and has run out of options for where to put the dogs.

“To maintain our Compassion Saves model of helping those most in need, the sick, injured and abused, we need your help in keeping healthy and lost animals out of the shelter,” Long Beach Animal announced. Care in a social media post.

The Compassion Saves model aims to support animals and people in the community through outreach, education, referral and support services.

ACS is partnering with Clear the Shelters this month to help dogs find their forever homes. Clear the Shelters is a national pet adoption campaign.

It costs $25 to adopt an adult pet (seven months and older). Adoption fees are waived for long-term residents (dogs that have been at the shelter for at least 90 days) and critters.

Adoption hours of operation are currently 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Appointments are also available by phone or email.
